This is Intense
The first night Lauren was home from the NICU was probably the longest night of our lives. We had never heard anyone scream so much. We were so excited to get her home that I think we forgot what we had gotten ourselves into. We know that all of you parents out there are laughing at us because you have been there and done that. We can honestly say that we have a new found respect for all you veteran parents out there. It seems like Lauren sleeps all day and then when the night time comes she is ready to test out her lungs.

I told Nate on Sunday that we have done the baby home from the hospital 3 times now and every first night home ended the same. With of lots of screaming and crying and not much sleep. You would think we'd have figured it out by now but we didn't. Your story makes me smile!
